RESULTS FOR THE YAL T.E.LEALMAN JUNIOR SHIELD MATCH - SATURDAY 1 JULY
Westgate
Pond continues to be in a very dour mood this season, and the 11
juniors who fished the match only managed to catch a few small perch,
rudd and roach.
Winner
on the day was Harrison Mortimer-Rees, who put 1lb 5ozs into the scales
net from peg 26. This included the heaviest perch of the day - 3ozs
8drms
Second was Samuel Suess with 8ozs from peg 3, which included the heaviest rudd of the day at 4ozs.
Third
were Harlun Mortimer-Rees with 5 ozs from peg 25 (with a 1oz roach his
best fish) and Theo Nicholson (peg 35) with a 3ozs 8drms rudd his best
fish.
There was a tie for fifth place between Sebastian Boyer (peg 1) and Joe English (peg 15), who both had 4ozs 8drms.
Jake
Enderwick came in with 4ozs from peg 22, closely followed by Jenny
Breeze (peg 23) and first-timer Eve Ndhlovu-Toyne (peg 2).
Dan
Blythe had 2ozs from peg 20, although he spent most of his time
targeting big fish and didn't manage to get anything to show an
interest. Ted Wood also failed to tempt a bite while trying to repeat
his success of last year.
