Yarm A.L. have over 5 miles of prime fishing on the River Tees around the historic town of Yarm, and we have 1 mile of water on the middle Tees at Bowl Hole (Low Middleton). We also have the 5-acre Halnaby Lake containing bream, carp (to mid-double figures), roach, chub and perch and Turlwick Pond containing tench (to 7lbs), bream, roach, carp, F1 carp, ide and perch. These stillwaters have been protected against otters and have private off-road car parks.
Day tickets are available for non-members are available (£3 for the river and £6 for the stillwaters), but they must be accompanied by a member and the tickets purchased in advance from the Head Quarters (open 7.00 p.m to 11.00 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings).
Members of Yarm Angling Limited must also be members of the Association of Teesside and District Angling Clubs (ATDAC), giving access to a further 8 miles of middle Tees water and a couple of stillwaters.
Many anglers are attracted to the waters of Yarm A.L. by the increased stock of bream (to 8lbs) which has developed from a stocking some years ago. Favourable water conditions (the ideal is with the colour just starting to drop-out of the water) have resulted in match catches now reaching into 40lb+.
Roach, perch (several over 3lbs are taken each season), chub, dace, eels and pike(to 20lbs) are also common throughout. Trout, grayling and barbel are also present in the Bowl Hole stretch.

The Club's Headquarters
Yarm AL is proud to be the only angling club in the North East of England to have it's own licenced premises. On match day our members can make their draw in comfort, then return after fishing to indulge in a pint of 'John Smiths' or 'Fosters', wait for the results and chat with the rest of the anglers about the one that got away!
The club is open nightly from 7pm (except Saturdays). When you become a member of Yarm AL you automatically become a member of the Social Club, as does your partner, and you are then free to use the facilities whenever we are open.
The club can be booked for private parties at no charge, and you can either arrange your own catering or we can make suitable arrangements for you through local catering companies. We also have a seperate room set aside for meetings purposes, and so long as it is pre-booked with our steward then your association or team can hold your meetings in complete privacy.
We have a social members section whereby non-angling members can join the club and come down to enjoy a night out. We have subscribed to SKY TV in order to bring members a full package of sport which can be enjoyed during opening hours.
